Techstars San Diego Powered By San Diego State University Announces 2024 Class

Sep 08, 2024

This year, as San Diego State University students return to campus, so too does the Techstars San Diego powered by SDSU accelerator. This year hundreds of companies applied to the accelerator program– fewer than 2% were accepted. Today marks their first day of the accelerator.

Recognizing the world class startup ecosystem in San Diego, founders in this class have come from around the world to build here. Four of the companies are from right here in San Diego with startup founders joining them from Lithuania, Poland, France, London, Australia, and Mexico City. We’re also welcoming startup founders from Los Angeles, Boston, San Francisco, and Austin.

Last year, San Diego welcomed the first 12 companies to San Diego State University for the inaugural Techstars San Diego powered by San Diego State University accelerator program. The San Diego startup community showed up providing the founders with mentorship, capital, and an amazing network here in America’s Finest City.

This year’s founders will spend the next thirteen weeks working on campus at San Diego State University alongside more incredible volunteer mentors from the San Diego startup ecosystem. Techstars mentors are founders, investors, service providers, SDSU faculty, and subject matter experts who volunteer their time to work alongside the founders to help them see the road ahead and learn how to build great companies. We’re so fortunate to have such an amazing group of #givefirst local mentors with such deep experience building startups.

Along with our accelerator operations lead, Gracie Parker; our Entrepreneur in Residence Morgan Spenla, founder and CEO of Crafter.com and a Techstars alum; and Cathy Pucher, Executive Director of Entrepreneurship Initiatives at SDSU; I’m stoked to welcome these twelve companies to San Diego to work side by side with the amazing startup community here.

And with that, let’s take a look at the Techstars San Diego powered by SDSU’s class of 2024 class:
