By invitation of President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden, Comma Founder and CEO Miller Morris attended the first-ever White House conference on women's health research on Wednesday, December 11.

Attendees discussed the future of research on women’s health, the greatly expanding market for women’s health products, closing the gaps in women’s health, and much more.

Morris said of her experience, "It was an honor to attend the first-ever White House Conference on Women’s Health Research. As those of us working in the space know, women’s health has been underfunded (less than 9% of NIH grant capital, and less than 2% of venture capital last year) and understudied for centuries. This has resulted in little understanding of how and why certain diseases disproportionately impact, only affect, or manifest differently in women."

"The Biden Administration has put more resources to work transforming women’s health research than any other presidency. Through direct contribution, executive order, and congressional support, President and Dr. Biden’s moonshot push has led to real, measurable progress for clinicians and researchers — many of whom I had the pleasure of hearing speak at the White House Conference on Women’s Health Research. It was a true celebration of the strides we can make when we unify behind a cause. Comma is proud to be in a strong position to build on this momentum in our work," Morris added.
