A few weeks back, Techstars made the difficult decision to move all of our current accelerators that were in session to be fully remote. It was a big adjustment for sure. Our first priority is always the health and safety of our founders, mentors and staff. But the good news is that for the past four years, we've been running Techstars Anywhere, our mostly virtual accelerator program. 

We’ve learned a lot about how to run a remote accelerator and how to work remotely with founders and mentors. Because we know we’re not the only accelerator program who has had to adjust to going remote, I thought it would be useful to share some of what we’ve learned along the way with you. 

I sat down for a Zoom conversation with Jon Bradford to talk about running a virtual accelerator. Jon, an advisor to several accelerators and incubators around the world, is a partner at Dynamo Ventures, and was the founder of Techstars London.

Our hope is that if you run an accelerator or incubator you might find some helpful guidance here. And if you’re a founder, hopefully you’ll get a bit of insight about how to get the most of your now virtual accelerator.
