By Neal Sáles-Griffin, Managing Director of Techstars Chicago
The world moves fast — and the world of entrepreneurship moves even faster. And nowhere does it move faster than inside a Techstars accelerator. With startups, mentors, and investors all coming together, it’s move fast or get left behind — and that usually starts with conversations with people who challenge our thinking.
This is why today, I’m launching a new podcast on the Techstars Podcast Network: Talking Through It.
On Talking Through It, I'll discuss five timely startup topics in about thirty minutes with people who have unique and interesting points of view.
For our very first episode, I talked with one of Techstars Chicago's mentors Mert Iseri, Co-founder and CEO of SwipeSense.
Mert and I talked through five big topics that I’m thinking a lot about right now:
The impact the U.S. election will have on startups
Tech's role in enabling democracy
The power of personal values for one's business
Choosing great companies to invest in
Giving thanks
And we each picked a founder we think you should be watching:
I picked Havoc Shield, 2020 graduate of Techstars Chicago, which just raised $1.45 million.
Mert picked Documentor, another 2020 Techstars Chicago grad, which he mentors.
If you’re a founder, mentor, or investor — or hope to be one day — I hope you’ll subscribe and become a regular listener.
