1.   Describe the problem/the industry that you are trying to mediate 

Recycling cardboard packaging has become a subject that impacts water waste, energy consumption and logistics. With an unfavorable carbon footprint, this recycling process is no longer suitable for the current economic model. Trashboard offers an alternative to cardboard recycling, without using water and with very low energy consumption. Indeed, Trashboard recycles cardboard packaging into a new sustainable, solid material that can replace the use of wood, plastic or aluminum. We have developed a material innovation but also a process innovation because we have developed machinery to recycle and produce industrially.

2.   How did the idea to create the company come to mind? How did your team come to be?

The idea came naturally, it make sense, we cannot continue to accumulate and consumme waste like we do , and we cannot continue to cut our forest in order to use wood more and more.

Trashboard is turning waste into hardware material that is life long.

François Jaubert has been working on this innovative material for 8 years and developed a company 2 years ago in order to propose this material to industrials. Six month ago 2 co-founder join the company to structure the team , one in industrial mattress CTO and the other for sales & Marketing CMO.

Together, we create good traction to solve industrial issues, waste and product.

3.   Why did you choose to participate in the Paris Techstars accelerator program? What are you looking forward to the most?

We participate in Paris techstars accelerator program because Trashboard needs a fundraising campaign to accelerate our production and expand our team. Techstars provides us with a great network worldwide and a great method for increasing our network.

4.   What are you the most proud of in your initial journey with your company?

Trashboard is accelerating greatly, techstars had created a perfect momentum that we needed to increase our traction. Our presence in paris is a great opportunity to meet and close deals. 

5.   How do you plan to measure the positive impact of your company in the next 5 years? Environmentally focused question.

Trashboard will expand his knowledge around the world and create a  zero waste micro factory.

A win / win solution for industrial companies that are waste consumer and hardware material importer.

Trashboard will reduce the carbon footprint with an innovative and advanced material that will take place in furniture, interior design, yachting and aéronautics.
